Terry brought to our attention the fact that Bob Windt lost everything in a fire. What wasn't clear was that Bob's loss was uninsured. His house, workshop, craft, tools-everything gone.

For those who don't know, as well as being "Mr Universal Hovercraft", Bob has mentored a great number of troubled young men, introducing many to hovercrafting and other areas of technology as a means of diverting them from antisocial behaviour.

You can find out more at:

Time for the british end of the "family" to do something?

Thanks Dave, good to see that things are going forward and that people can donate by Paypal. I've contacted the bank at Cordova to see how transfers can be made from the UK for those who don't have paypal accounts

Wow, didn't know anything about it Ewan. Apart from the sheer loss of all his possessions, he wasn't insured... http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_sad.gif Come on folks, dig deep. Bob's one of the good guys.

Found this information on Bob's fire. Good to see he is getting the support he deserves.
