So does mine. Well the lifty does anyway, ran for two whole minutes, and the belt didn't even come off. And as long as the new recoil cup (ref AGM talk)gets CNC'd this evening, then the thrust engine can run too. Otherwise craft is gonna be a bit sluggish.

You guys inspire me.

I'm going to knock off early so I can go home and clear out the shed so I can start getting the hovercraft ready.

it's certainly as nippy as the prototype last year and it feels quick off the mark, the hull is much stiffer and less fragile, i've added flow straighteners as well

we'll see how it fares in a race at the weekend - i'll be glad to finish a race to start with, i've learned to never assume you'll finish a race !

is yours all sorted now ?

sounds like you had fun then !

no not really , found out the carbs haven't been set right but sorted that out now , just making sure the exhausts are definately clear now , all complete apart from that !

was hoping to be there this weekend but think its cutting it fine now lol , so i'll miss this one and hope to be ready for the gang warily ( should have learnt how to drive it by then i hope lol ) , its working that the main thing now !

glad it all went well tho , so didnt the students expect it to work then or something ??

For a minute I thought I was the only one stuck in my garage until the small hours every night this week!!!

I feel a lot better now. Nothing like a race meeting to check nothings gonna fall off a new hover!!

Right, got the new recoil cup. I think i'll run a book on how long this one stays attached to the flywheel, before the honda has breakfast and spits bits of metal at me. It is secured with 4 M10 12.9 capheads. If that doesn't hold it on, I don't know what will.

Now, where did I leave my van for the winter?

true - if it can't be fixed with gaffer tape, then it can't be fixed
