Hello

I'll be there... the Surveyor won't http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_sad.gif ... not ready yet.

Which day will we go down to the bridges? I need to make sure I have a fuel tanker stationed on-route since I am taking the Osprey!

Its always good to see new craft and i am sure that a scrutineer will be at hand also the usual tire kickers!

Just to be aware the river and its exit points are not for the faint of heart so arrive with driving experiance please!

( dont worry the coast guard are at hand )

Hmmm...Slightly worrying that the coastguard may be needed http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_twisted.gif

How bad is the entry? Sounds pretty scary.....

I was thinking about ariving about mid day saterday, are there likley to be people around to help me look over the hover etc then or is everyone going to be off somewhere else flying about?

What day is the photoshoot going to be?

The entry is OK... so long as you keep the lift up and don't bottle out!! The exit is entertaining - you need full speed to make it up the ramp which is about 10 ft wide between sheer cliffs! Once up the first ramp you have to have enough speed left to make the second, which is kinked a bit to the right.

At least, thats how it was last year, it could be completely different this year...

Hi Dunc

We should have gone by then but there should be some one on site to kick your tires. We will be back by 2 ish and then we can hover local to the site or crack on to next adventure!(often involves a pint or two yum,yum )

Yes once again the Severn Cruse is on.

For those who havent been before the tide will be out for most of the day which leaves miles and miles of sand bars which is a good thing in some ways, But the down side litrally is that as there is an 15 m rise and fall of tide so there is a long slope in and out over mud and rocks "yummy".

We will be getting to the site from late Friday (7 Th) afternoon onwards. The

address is Fretherne lodge .

Exit J13 M5 head west to A38 (1/2 Mile ).

Head south (1/2 mile) turn right to Arlingham via Frampton-on -Severn over

Canal bridge, main rd? goes right, you go straight on for a mile the field entrance is

behind a small Victorian Church which is on your left.

Regards Bill Baker.

I have spoken with Bill Trump the owner of the land and he tells me that the ramp in and out is the best it has been for many years.

Ps we have a self catering Barby on the Saturday evening
