Well, registration for the worlds is now closed.

F1 seems to contain the usual suspects, F2 and FS look healthy enough and Formula Errrrr? seems off to a good start.

But whats going on with F3? 12 entrants is the lowest i've ever seen. Has everybody sold out on the screamy, fiddly, over-complicated little bike engines?

Incidentyally, just sitting here looking at the route - according to Sally Satnav its the best part of 600 miles! http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_eek.gif

Quit your complaining Russ. It's 600 miles to my nearest hovercraft race/rally! http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_cool.gif

Yeah - but your roads are great! http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_razz.gif The worlds are only a week after the Rhone Raid, which is another 600 miler! Still, that's what i'm best at - sitting on my backside.

Dumping the camper for the worlds tho. Going to belt down in the air-con car at 100mph, just means tenting it.... so the price is steep!

Well, I am jealous that you're able to do the Rhone Raid - more than once! It's something I've always wanted to participate in but have never been able to wrangle. It seems that work always gets in the way. I had hoped that this time - what with the WHC being in France - I'd be able to do it but with the dates so far apart I just couldn't get the time off work.

If Jean-Claude can keep putting them on, I'll be retired soon with no more excuses! http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_razz.gif

Hello Bob,

when I was still working, I ' ve sent an ultimatum to my chief:

" either I can go for the raid, or I ' ll be so sick, I ' ll be only able to stay in my bed for the full same week with a nervous breakdown."

The Raid was the only holidays I NEED all year long, it was a full time fighting all year long to have them, but I managed.

Now I' m retired ( fired after Company bankruptcy ).

The Raid is worth it.

Choice between 7 days Raid or 4 days looking at crazy hovercraftmen : the Raid !

I' ll be at both.

But , if you don' t feel ready for it, stay home, there is a danger whith the Raid: addiction.
