Dear Friends,

Jakes Place is the last race of the season, and a good w/e I am sure it will be.

Just to show I am a good looser and to show my appreciation to you all, I have commissioned some cakes to be baked as my way of saying a big THANK YOU to all the officials and helpers that have allowed me to have a great season’s racing (loose term).

You are a fantastic bunch and by far the best sport I have had the pleasure of taking part in!

The cakes made are listed below and I am assured there are no nuts in them. I will be setting them up near to race-control if I can on Saturday morning so please feel free to partake in a slice of your choosing.

I have no way of knowing how many officials there will be, so please take only one slice each until all have been rewarded, then please fight/kick/scream for the last remaining slices all of which must go.

I have also had a cake made for my immediate “family” to fight for.

Thank you all for the help and friendliness shown to me this past season, long may it continue. Please make this a great end to a great season and please lap me slower this time as it is getting embarrassing!

Thanks all, drive safely, see you all Saturday.

Hi Gayle, you are more than welcome.

I love the good club atmosphere and the way it is so well organised, always an amazement to me!

I am in awe of the work that goes on behind the scenes just so I can go cruising around a track!

Be good, see you all soon.

Thanks from me too Brian, only trouble was that apple & blackberry cake was just a little too moorish....

I have to agree with Louise, it was extreemly moorish. Thanks Brian. http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif

Brian,

I am also assured they were very nice - but i seemed to miss out on all the cakes on offer - not really sure how cos i'm normally good at that sort of thing - i blame the race director - probably eating them and drinking Pimms all day!

You will have to make more cakes next season just to make up for it!

Cheers anyway - and thanks for some amusing memories of this season...

At 01.07 in the morning were you still baking brian? Thank you for some brilliant expressive comments when you wondered why your craft had little or no thrust when trying to leave the paddock.
