thinking of trying the cord method to attach the skirt to the planing surface instead of endless p-clips and rivets

can anyone recommend a good cord - was thinking of the plastic coated washing line stuff

thanks in advance

Are you guys talking segment/finger skirts or bag skirts?

Can you post an image of such a set-up?

Washing line cord is the best stuff to use, but get the steel cored stuff rather than the nylon. The starter nylon type rope cannot stand the abrasion as well as the plastic coated stuff.

The ultimate stuff to use (although more difficult to get hold of) would be plastic coated wire rope, use 7x19 stuff to get ultimate flexibility.

I used some stainless stranded rigging cable from a chandlers...I stupidly used 6mm....should have gone for 3!!
