Members might like to know that we have updated the website with a short cine film clip from one of Sir Christopher Cockerell's earliest test flights of the Prototype Model at Somerleyton Hall. It has been tested in a number of browsers and we would be interested to hear of any difficulty experienced.

A rare and wonderful glimpse of the beginning of a new world-wide industry of multi-billion pound dimemsions and a solution to some unique problems in the field of transport.

Thanks for your response Russ

I monitor our website frequently and it is working ok. Is it possible you have not allowed your browser to use active X control? This is needed for things like movie clips although it makes your computer more vulnerable to damage by internet attack.

When the Test Flight page has loaded you should see a black rectangle bottom right. if it stays empty double click it and the Windows Media Player should open and run the clip. If this happens it confirms the browser settings should be altered to allow movies to appear on the page.

Try something like:-

Tools/internet options/security/internet zone/customs settings

Run down the list and adjust as required.

If you have to fiddle to get results it tells me that with attention to your browser settings you will get good results. I will gladly do what I can to help if members have problems like this, but I need more information than you give or I can only guess!
