Ive just phoned Kieth Smallwood for some parts, hoping to pick them up at whittlsey, but his voicemail informs me he/s on his holibobs in southern France.

Will he be at whittlsey on Saturday, or will the van be there in his absence?

If not has anyone got a spare black grab handle as fitted to the Storm craft, i smashed one at Magnolls http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_sad.gif and some peel rivets, as ive run out

The van will be there in the portly one's absence, I'm not sure whether we've any handles in tho. Should have posted yesterday, I've been to the factory today to pick up stock for the weekend- DOH!! http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_lol.gif

Hi Martin

I've got some spare handles in the shed. I'll put a couple in my spares box for you - plenty of peel rivets in stock too!!!

See you at Whittlesey

Prhaps we need to start a new commodities section,

Peel rivets seem to be a major currency, except when you run out ;(

how come the bag always looks full when you start, but suddenly empty's itself without you looking ?

Peel rivets, i like to think are like bannanas. It works in the same way as a normal rivet i.e the mandrel (center part) pulls down through the metal but instead of expanding the metal to stop the rivet being removed from the hole, the metal opens it up like a bannana with 4 segmets that curve round. They are used in alot of peoples hovercraft to hold the P-clips in place as they are good to spread the load that a P-clip might experiance over the thin fiberglass/plywood.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the info...

they look pretty good!

I just need to find something I could use them on...

Would they be the little rubber clamps that keep the duct safety grid in place?
