There is another interesting question arising.

If there is no F3, then what is the spec for Juniors? Is it F503?

i would think Juniors will still be allowed to race an F3 craft even if less than 8 F3's turn up

anyway why's everyone having a dig at F3 all of a sudden, just because the Europeans got fed up of being thrashed http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_rolleyes.gif

For some reason only the Brits seam to have perservered with this class, a few years ago most of the French dropped out or moved into F2 so for the past couple of WHF events its been 95% HCGB. Which is a shame because i think theres some good racing in F3 and its a good place to start - although the EHF starter formula now appears to be F50 and it may be going the same way in the UK.

On the basis that there were only eight entries on home ground at Whitlesey this year, its not looking particlarly positive for 2008 WHF attendance overseas.

F3 being a very affordable formula set pretty high standerds , all this performance being dragged out of 50 ish HP, to be competitive in F3 racers have realy looked at effiencency to gain speed, rather than engines , lets face it posibly f3 does need looking at, as these great TZR will not go on forever.

Perhaps we need to look at other affordable power plants so to plan for the future so we insure this very respectable formular dose not disapeer.

I agree Jess - I will make it my challenge to give F3 it's re-birth - affordable, sustainable, reliable, lightweight, quiet with engines and spares in abundence - watch this space

can you feel that...... http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_rolleyes.gif it's the winds of change http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_rolleyes.gif

At this world championships this family will have FIVE competitors driving F3 craft. So my one vote is for five entrants.
