As it snowed today (the first time for three years!) I couldn't resist a little snow hovering (see HERE (uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nzcGnmuIEk4)
It was far less messy than I had thought it would be - plenty of powdered snow out the sides and rear but the cockpit area stayed clear. One thing that surprised me is that there is a snow "hump" wave consisting of a moving pile of powdered snow in front of the craft. As with a water hump wave, you pass over it once speed builds.
