We used something like that on our 503 sorst and it lasted all of about 2 meetings (24 races) until needing another coat.

May be okay for TZR sorsts though??

those sorts if paint, are hardened by the heat of the exhaust, so if you follow the instructions they aint that bad! you will need to keep painting it, so something like hot ally spray is better in the long run http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif saying that ive just sprayed my exhaust with the same sorta thing from halfords:)

wasnt gonna look into the ally spraying thing cos i thought it might be quite difficult to repair in a race situation etc- ally spray +welding rod not good?!?

whereas with the paint it will probably have flaked off by the time i need to fix it..!

Repainting is the key.

then we gave up painting it after the first season and went for the 'used' look http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_rolleyes.gif

The black 1,200 degree paint works on two stroke exhaust and mufflers. There is however some wear or staining, and it will not stop surface rust.

The color paint good up to 500 degrees does NOT work!
