Does anyone have or know where I can get a Tillotson carb inlet pipe/cover from please?

Its a round piece of plastic that fits on the carb where the fuel supply line connects to it. I discovered they can be a bit fragile and shear off fairly easilly!

Thanks in advance for any help!

Finally found the broken one to get a pic of it! It is about 35mm diameter

Hi David

Local garden machinery suppliers or Karting spares are probably the best bet, found one here:

http://www.zipnorth.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp (www.zipnorth.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34_74&products_id=678) ;cPath=34_74&products_id=678

Not sure if they are universal size.

Unfortunately I threw a complete one away a couple of months ago, sorry! Kept it for nearly 20 years just in case. Just shows you should never throw anything away!!!

Hope this helps

have loads of info and suppliers (mostly USA) for Tillotsons.

http://www.tillotson.ie is the manfacturers website with more info plus parts but they tend to only have newish spares.

If, like mine, your carb is an old one then they've redesigned it and parts like the gasket/seal sets don't fit now.

I changed my carb to one off a Lambretta...I just had to make a new manifold for it.

drill it out and glue in copper pipe, its worked for me before, if you need it in a hurry

David, have you more details on the carb? whats it fitted to? how old? I'll call to the Tillotson plant and check it out if you can get me more details. Philip

Hi Philip,

I don't have access to the craft and/or carb at the moment, all I know is it's a Weslake lift engine.

Having looked at the part again, a quick repair as suggested above will suffice until I come across a new one.

I tried the karting place as mentioned above but there isn't enough info to be sure its the right part, plus there will be more postage than the part costs itself!

The Tillotson website is quite useful but I need to get more info about the carb before finding the right part.

Thank you to those who have offered help or ideas.

Do you still need fuel inlet pipe for Weslake 342 as I may very well have one?

Just been and looked, nothing on the mower that comes close to the part you require
