View Full Version : Daughter assulted.....

Brian G Reynolds - n/a

Hi all, sorry for this but my eldest daughter has been attacked last night by about 9 kids, at least 3 of them were boys!

We have had a minni riot in the area as I went around with the Police trying to find the gang, which we did.....

One of the boys is 12 and the other is 13. The 13 year old is in a special school and is known by the Police for this sort of thing, it transpires as I travelled with the Police there is a vast number of the public that are being "hastled" by this family and I intend to find them all out and see what we can do about this.

Whilst at Rother on the last day's racing the kids were there causing trouble, I got home after they saw me and they ran off, only to find they had been to my house with a baseball bat to "sort me out" very brave of them as they knew I was still at Rother! Trouble is the hastled my neighbour instead.

Any way to the point...

I know some of you reported having had run-in's with this gang but I would like to know how far spread the trouble went.

Can any of you that had an encounter with them please contact me via PM with any details you can provide. I will not be using any of this for official use if you do not want your name mentioned but if things get worse, as I expect things will, I will contact you and explain exactly what is going on in advance of anything taking place.

I am sorry to ask this of you but it is about time we changed things to protect our children and our sanity.

Thank you,

Brian.

I last went to Rother 5 years ago and there were kids causing trouble then. They were attacking club kids with sticks and pulling out knives. A load of us had to confront the family who weren't with the club but had just turned up within the camping area.

They nearly had their come uppance when they kicked a ball up against the Gills van http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_eek.gif

I'm surprised to hear that there's still a problem and sorry to hear about your experiences.

I remember there was a catalogue of crime at various events I went to.

Kids nicking beer at Gang Warily

Bottled water being nicked at Whittlesey

Attempted theft of a trailer at Lydd

Travellers trying to invade Penton

YOu don't need this at a family event do you?

I take my hat off to you Brian.

I come across this sort of thing all the time but most people are to afraid to talk to the police because of the reprocussions and the mental strain it puts on them.

It's about time people in this country started taking responsability for their own actions. (little s**ts) http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_evil.gif

I hope you get the support you deserve.

Best regards

Thanks for the good will.

I have been over to where the family live and basically there is a strong following to have then removed.......

They have an elderly lady next door that is suffering badly with their parties and bad language, also the same for the neighbour the other side....

The local chippie has banned them (after first beating them!! after they threw eggs into the open door as well as other items!)the local car parts shop has been telling the Police for weeks now and the neighbour opposite the parts shop has also been in constant contact with the Police...

The local disused off-licence has had its windows smashed and the next door residents have been constantly hassled....

One neighbour has had his van set alight....

The list goes on.... oh and now he has got his 13 year old girlfriend pregnant it would seem!!!!

The Police came today to perform a video statement but did not know how to use the kit so it was back to pen and pencil…..

It also seems the gang got their phones out as Amy was approaching them and filmed the fight so we are trying to get hold of that and see exactly what happened….

It all took place outside a pub and nobody came out to stop it!

What is going on with this society we have created?

In all the hassle and bad times you're having you still manage to throw in a classic statement that made me chuckle...

Brian,

The only advise I can give to you is "don't lower yourself to the standards of these cowardly thugs<font face="Courier">[/COLOR]"

Make sure it is all done professionally.

Many a time have My colleauges and I had to arrest the nice people of this world because they have been constantly pushed by these sorts of people and have lost their cool, which is understandable, but the law doesn't see it that way.

Be safe and good luck. http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif

Sorry to hear about all this Brian,

Wayne, the problem is that many of the police I've met don't want to/manage to sort out the problem.

In Coventry two of my friends were assaulted, one had his jaw broken, the police knew the assailants but the 'incident' wasn't serious enough!!

I had to face off against 6 guys in Brean who had taken a brick to a guy (who I didn't know) and battered him in front of his wife and 3yr old, I got hurt (busted nose), but despite all this the Police didn't even bother come to the ambulance to ask me for a statement!

Personally, I'd like to do a 'Professional job' on these thugs.

If the Police can't protect us, we have a right to protect ourselves.

Brian sorry to hear about this,Its the sort of thing that makes my Blood boil http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_mad.gif

I watched a program on TV the other night about gangs in Liverpool and things are looking bad when 10 year old kids have access to guns and some of the older misguided thugs in the gang were saying the young ones would shoot someone over a argument because they are only kids. O and most of the gang members came from one parent families, it makes you wonder what is actually going on in this country

The government do nothing to help, the Police could have all the power in the world but the courts are so soft and give out the wrong message to everyone = 3year sentience really means they will be out in a year and a half. Whats that all about???

As far as I am concerned if someone attacks someone else for no reason they should be NAMED+SHAMED and have no right to expect any human rights as they violate other peoples every day

Good luck with your Quest Brian and im glad to read you got the osprey fixed good man.

Trev

PS seen this on the web its on special and may help to sort out the prob I know you like your toys

First of all Jonathan - if I were you or one of your friends I would of made a compaint about the officers involve as everybody deserves to be protected.

From a professional point of veiw it would be nice to have the power to sort these things out from the start.

But...It is the CPS (Crown prosecution Service) that make all the decissions, not the police, and we have to abide by them.

You can spend two or three days preparing statements, photos, interveiwing, collecing evidence etc etc.

Then you get on the phone and explain all this to the CPS who then consider if it's a case we can win or not due to the evidence produced.

I feel the power should be returned to the police who have to face these ****bags everyday.

I understand your frustration Wayne, some of the new rules are on the ****bags side, to mention a few:

1) If in a car chase it becomes too dangerous to pursue (either to members of the public or too the officers involved) break off the pursuit... Licence to drive like a mad b*&&&*d in order to get away or what??

2) Do not pursue criminals across rooftops as they may injure themselves (!!!)

3) Police officers are only allowed to use minimal force to subdue someone, without risking suspension, or even being taken to court by the (unmentionable) who'd just committed a serious criminal offence.

4) After stopping & searching someone (or is it even questioning people nowadays?) the Officer in queston has to spend about half an hour filling in long winded paperwork back at the station.

However, If yon copper actually manages to 'nick said criminal 'bang to rights' without hurting/endangering him or breaking any of the minutiae of the cautioning laws, he has to deal with the CPS.

The CPS may decide that they're too busy to deal with this case, that the judge would let the crim off anyway or that "It wasn't that serious, and its his first offence" (or at least for which he's been caught!).

Finally, the Judge/magistrate can use his own 'judgement' and if the crim has a decent lawyer & plays his cards right, he could either plead innocent & get off, or plead guilty but impress the judge with "his honesty in court" and either be released or 'suffer' a suspended sentence.

OR...

Be set free because the jails are all full. http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_evil.gif http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_evil.gif

Good suggestion Trev! one ordered!!!!!

I came out of the local shop a few nights ago and the 3 boys and 2 girls were waiting for me with a long bit of wood! it was in broad daylight about 19:00!.....

The main girl was filming the incident with her mobile... so I took it and gave it to the Police as evidence, it also contained the film of Amy's attack.

Unfortunately the Police officer viewed the footage and gave the mobile back to the owner! And informed me that I was liable to arrest for steeling the mobile!

I fear they are going to get away scot free…….

Shocking. Maybe you need to make a formal complaint against the officer? Or approach the papers?

And they wonder why the public don't report crime.....

Next time Brian, download the imagery first.

Then, if the Police refuse to make any arrests, tell them you'll both make an official complaint AND and start a civil suit against the violent b****rs.

If that doesn't work, stay in a VERY PUBLIC PLACE, I'm sure someone will eventually thump said brigands......... http://hovercraft.org.uk/images/icons/smiley_icons/icon_rolleyes.gif
