Out of interest, how much skirt wear + tear would you expect from a finger skirt on tarmac / concrete? I've only used grass so it seems to be in very good condition still...

I couldnt give a value of such but *More* would be a good place to start. The damage tarmac causes to a skirt is significantly higher purely because of how the coarse the surface is - Also you can cause quite alot of damage to your hull if you turn quickly and scuff the underside.

sand is one of the worst, not so much the damage from landing but certainly the skirt wear, takes the rubber straight off the material. also fine dry sand on a hot summer day will grit blast the duct/splitter plate/ flow straighteners etc. not to mention clog up air filters and such like.
