Forum Rules
Registration on this site is free! We do, however, insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below.

Although the administrators and moderators of The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain web site will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and the The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain cannot be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, rude, or otherwise violative of any laws.

Personal adverts can only be posted in the "Hovercraft Stuff for Sale" forum by club members . Adverts of ANY type (personal, commercial or promotional) are not permitted in any other area on this web site. If you wish to place a commercial advert then please contact the Magazine Editor for rates. Where a club member negotiates with a company a discount rate for their goods or services for the benefit of HCGB members, with no personal gain to themselves, the information can be passed onto the Webadmin for consideration of inclusion in the 'Club Discounts' thread.

Club Membership



By joining the Hovercraft Club of Great Britain members of the club agree to abide by the Articles and Memorandum of Association found HERE (http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/showthread.php?t=7).

The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain is the National Organisation for Recreational Hovercraft. The club is run entirely by volunteers and is run as a not for profit organisation.

The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain undertakes not to pass any personal details held by the club to any third party without the permission of the club member, and to only use any records held by the club for internal administration purposes.

The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain reserves the right to publish photographs of hovercraft and members taken at club events in the club magazine and on the club web site and for the purposes of promoting the club.

The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain is a trading name of the Hoverclub of Great Britain Limited, which is a company limited by guarantee. As a member of the club you undertake that, in the event of the club being wound up whilst you are a member or within one year after you cease to be a member, you will, if required, contribute an amount not exceeding one pound toward the costs and liabilities of the club. Furthermore, if you have selected a family or group subscription you undertake that, in the event of the club being wound up whilst you are a member or within one year after you cease to be a member, you will, if required, contribute an amount not exceeding one pound toward the costs and liabilities of the club for each and every member of your family or group.

The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain is recognised as the National Governing Body for Hovercraft sport in England by Sport England.

The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain is affiliated to the European Hovercraft Federation (http://www.europeanhovercraftfederation.org/) and World Hovercraft Federation (http://www.worldhovercraftfederation.org/) as the recognised National Organisation for Light Hovercraft in the United Kingdom.
