If this is for lift and thrust - in a word - no!

The propellor is not designed to provide lift pressure, and will provide very poor lift.

I would not recommend using a 600mm fan in any case - it's too small. Current designs use a minimum of 900mm.

thanks bud,-i'm stuffed then.-i was given a 600mm duct with the chassis and its now fibreglassed together.-its a very lightwieght all alloy construction racing craft,-the duct is like a twisted scoop type that needs to run in clockwise rotation for its max skirt lift

It will work - it won't be competitive but will be fun.

One issue is that old fans can become brittle and so second hand ones aren't a great idea unless you know where it came from and it's age. The hub would be useful, and sometimes old ones come up on ebay.

there is 1 on ebay at mo but the fans operate counter clockwise,-i guess i can replace the blades to the right scoop pitch and size? -its for fun and not for racing purposes
