hi just joined the site, I live in north wales ( Llandudno) and am looking for contact with others interested in building hovercrafts. I am going to build a 2 seater cruiser next spring and am looking for advice on plans, materials, engines etc. I would like to be able to talk over ideas and pick a few brains, so if you think you can help get in touch. Welcome to our community!

To be honest, your best option would be to join our club (http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/payments.php?)- there is a wealth of information available in the Builders Corner (http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=50) and Cruising (http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=4) forums that will help you make the best decision. You can also browse the entrire 40year+ club magazine archive (http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=15) and read all about the history of hovercraft development.

As a club member, you can also view the member map (http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/index.php?pageid=memap) which shows who is where and makes it easy to find and contact local fellow hovercraft enthusiasts.

The Treasure Hunt on the River Severn would be the perfect oppertunity to see many cruising hovers in action. This would give you a chance to speak to the guys that have built there own craft from plans.
Put in your sat nav Berkeley,Gloucestershire,GL13 9NH and follow the signs for HCGB.See you there!!!!!

Also a bit to late in the season for me.
