I just wanted to know what the average deck height is on a race craft and a cruising craft, from absolute bottom to the top where the skirt attaches to....I have been back and fourth with my craft and just can't decide on a height, just want to know what works the best, and what plough plane angle works the best too.?

My challenger was 300mm

the Sev is 18 inch

Complete different craft so not so sure it is of any help.

Maybe you should take a look at the construction regulations either on this site (HERE (http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=1670&d=1234876859) in the members area) or HERE (http://www.hoverclubofamerica.org/downloads/ConstRegs2002-8A.pdf) for the HCA version.

The height depends on the skirt type and the hull design. The minimum plough plane angle is calculated from the craft width and cushion height.

see my scat height is 12 inches, and my Uh hovercrafts are like 6 to 8 inches, the plough angles on the scat are around 40 degrees which makes for a bad plow in, the Uh doesn't plow in but the bag tucks under enough, now my new design is going to be a finger skirt design, but I was thinking a height of 12 inches with an angle of 32 degrees, I just don't know how well that will work....any thoughts.

I am not a Member yet so it is kind of hard to check them sites out, is there any way you can send me the construction regulations?

I've just looked at the construction regs Allan. There are pages of interesting material in there.
