Does anyone have a recommendation for a good beginners machine please? We need it to be 2/3 seat, capable of getting up on water easily and not too expensive. We were thinking of a Flying Fish or a Hovpod but have already been told a story indicating serious limitations to the latter. Trouble is, one man's meat is another's poison so we don't quite know what to think other than that we want to buy a known machine rather than say a self build.

All commenst greatfully received!

In no particular order:
www.vortex.org.uk (http://www.vortex.org.uk)
www.flyingfishhovercraft.co.uk (http://www.flyingfishhovercraft.co.uk)
www.BBVhovercraft.co.uk (http://www.BBVhovercraft.co.uk)
These all make popular reasonably priced hovercraft used by many club members, available in complete or kit form. Several of them are to be seen doing 500miles on the Rhone this week.

Try to see the craft in the flesh. All three makes that Keith mentioned look different and will have differences in handling, features and performance. I would recommend you see all three makes before you pick one. You'll get good advice from people on here. You could also check out

Good luck,
