Hi, I wanted to introduce myself and hopefully find others with hovercraft near me.
I am in Hayling Island (yes hovercraft are banned here) and I am hopefully buying a Flying Fish next week (going for a demo monday), I hope there are others I can join for cruises around this area, also how does insurance work and where should I go? flying fish state they provide a provisional license, how do I convert to a full license?
My long term aim would be to join some of the cruises around the UK but dont want to run before I walk.
Any help/tips would be fantastic as would any local contacts.
Thanks in advance
Pete

Hello Pete, do not feel alone at the moment but most of the racing members will be down Northamptonshire at Towcester Race Course at the World Championships.

See http://www.hover-racing.org/

You might be better joining the Cruising side at http://hoverclub.org.uk/index.php this is where the cruising mebers now reside and there you will find the people you want to meet.

I think there are quite a few down your way and I know there are members with FF craft.

See you there, most of them are friendly....

Brian.

Hi

There is a fair FF contingent in your area, I'm sure you'll make contact soon enough!

We know about the Langstone issue, and have been in dispute with the Harbour Board for some time over the matter. Things have been in abeyance recently due to some significant changes in the Cruising side of things, get in touch if you want to know more. Right now might be a good time for a local person to take things up with thier MP....
