Hi all

I am new to hovercraft and know very little so if this is a silly question please bear with it.

I saw an old fibre glass hull yesterday, dont know what it was. It had air feed holes for the skirt segments at the front and the back but none along the sides.

Question How would it have feed air to the side skirt segments.

Can someone explain.

Thanks

Rich

Hi rich

This would of had a bag skirt fitted at a good guess.

Bag skirts dont need feed holes all of the way round as the bag is still containing plenium pressure.

Hope I have answered your question

You don't need to have a feed for every segment of a finger skirt, it can retain its shape due to the pressure contained within it. Pressure and Jet seggies would, however have to have feed holes
