The South West branch of the HCGB invites you to Black ditch pond for the penultimate round of the 2006 National Hovercraft Racing Championships
Black ditch pond is approximately 3 miles north of Bridgewater on the Somerset levels between Puriton and Pawlet. Please follow the directions below, as the usual route is impassable due to bridge repairs. It is important that you bring sufficient supplies to not leave the site on Friday night as the approach lanes are very narrow and we need to allow as much inward flow as possible.
The site is an environmentally sensitive, one with wildlife, particularly around the pond, so please take care with your rubbish. Water will be provided from a bowser, so bring your own supplies if possible.
Directions.
From the M5 at junction 23. Follow signs for Emerald Pool Fishery, pass over the motorway and take the small lane on the left.
