Round 5 of the 2007 UK Championships Plus European round
28th-29th July 2007


The Hovercraft Club of Great Britain invites you to come and see the 5th round of the 2007 National Hovercraft racing championships.

This year, in addition to the National championships, this meeting will also be a round of the European championships with top class drivers coming from all over Europe to take part at the highest level.

So bring your camera, a picnic blanket and a cool box full of sandwiches and see some of the worlds best drivers racing on one of the best courses.


Directions.


The meeting is situated at Bank Farm, just North of Whittlesey near Peterborough on the B1040.

From the south (A1M) and West (A605): Join the A1139 at the EXTRA Services (A1M JUNCTION 17) Then  travel East to the A605 Junction sign posted to  Whittlesey.
Continue to Whittlesey town centre and take signs for the B1040 to Thorney,The site entrance is on the left.

From the North and East: Leave the A47 at Thorney and to take the B1040 to Whittlesey.Site entrance is on the right.

The post code for Sat-Nav users is "PE6 0RW" which is for the "Dog and Doublet" pub, directions for the race site will be given from there.

Note for members camping.
The toilets will be serviced over the weekend, but please don't empty caravan cassettes into them, a container for cassette toilet waste will be available.
We hope to have some water available again but please bring as much as you can with you.

Course dismantling – PLEASE HELP!!
Based on 2006 lap-times, minimum race durations suggested as follows:
F1 – 10 laps; FS, F2, F3 – 9 laps; F503 – 8 laps; FJ – 7 laps
This is required to achieve minimum 10 minute races. Novice races 10
minutes + 1 lap as normal.
