Round 1 of the 2008 UK Championships
3rd, 4th, 5th May 2008.


The 2008 hovercraft racing season is set to get off to a flying start when we return to "Jake's Place" / "High cross business park" for a bank holiday weekend of great racing by kind permission of Jake and Anne Cooper..

Just a stones throw from the M69/A5 and easy to find.

Bring the family and a picnic basket or visit the catering van, sit down and watch the racing.

Approaching from the North
Approaching from M1 southbound Junction 21 onto M69
At M69 Junction 1 Take 1st exit at roundabout signposted A5 London go eastbound for approx 2 miles. Turn left at bottom of hill just before dual carriageway starts onto B4114 signposted to Narborough and Sharnford B4114. Then follow directions to The High Cross business Park.

Approaching from the South
Approaching from M6 Junction 2 onto M69
Going northbound on M69 turn off at Junction 1 and take 4th exit at roundabout signposted A5 London go eastbound for approx 2 miles. Turn left at bottom of hill just before dual carriageway starts onto B4114.Then follow directions to The High Cross business Park.

Approaching from London on M1
M1 Turn off at Junct 18 take 1st left at roundabout A5 westbound signposted to Hinckley.
Continue along A5 for approx 11 miles to Wibtoft. About ½ mile beyond village is dual carriageway Turn right at bottom of hill about 1.7 miles after Wibtoft before dual carriageway finishes, onto B4114 signposted to Narborough and Sharnford B4114.
Then follow directions to The High Cross business Park.

Directions to The High Cross business Park. from the A5
Go past sign to Wigston Parva, approx 100 yards further on is Shade Cottage on the left and we are another 300 yards further, on the right you will see a barn. Turn right at the brown "The High Cross business Park" sign 30 yards past the end of the barn.

Catering will be available on site throughout the weekend and HCGB members are invited to the evening meal of Chicken curry and Kebabs (£2.00 per head) available from the food van from 7.30 on Saturday evening.
