Default Where can I find an EA81 Engine?

Does anyone know where in the UK I can find a reasonably priced complete EA81 engine with automatic gearbox?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know the EA81 was only used in the saloon cars for a short time up to about 1983. Frankly, the chance of finding an auto box version must be pretty near nill by now! S c r a p dealers have long since stopped keeping these engines as the cars they were used in are long gone (they were so reliable that there was never much market for replacement engines anyway).

Why does it have to have an auto gearbox?

You can find carb'ed manual gearbox versions used in the Subaru MV pickup right up until 1995. If you find some agricultural equipment sales in your nearest rural area you may come across one - they were very popular on farms in the late 80s. They are usually sitting in corners of farmyards rusting away. I found one not long ago that had last run in 1998 - I connected a battery and it fired up after a couple of revs (and ran fine on the 8 year old petrol left in the tank)!
