    Default Facet fuel pumps

    I'm considering fitting a facet electric fuel pump - the cube shaped one



    can i go to the carbs direct (suspect flooding) or through my SU float chamber



    any experiences

    Good little pumps. There are different versions, with different output pressures. The versions look the same and should cost the same.



    If the carbs were intended to be run from a pump then any version MAY be suitable. If the carbs were designed for gravity feed then the lowest pressure pump MAY be suitable.



    I think the lowest pressure pump is about 1.5 psi, which is similar to the lowest pressure that a variable regulator will go down to. 1.5 psi is about a 4' head, and if a needle valve can't handle that then its not trying.

    hi ya tony , i,ve just fitted a solid state pump to my craft and had problems with it over filling the carbs so fitted a pressure regulator yesterday and its running fine now and no fuel spilt anywhere

    For many years I used the Facet pump with the adjustable regulator they do. To set it Iwound the reg open til the fuel poured out and then wound back til it stopped
