    Default Hov Pods

Im thinking of buying a 3 seater Hov Pod, At the moment im informed that the engines are 2 stroke but there are plans for a 4 stroke in the near future . Should I wait for the 4 stroke engine or is the 2 stroke engine reliable enough? Help any body

I have a feeling the reply you might get from everyone is dont buy a Hoverpod!

The amount of arguements, problems with it goes on and we could just go on about it for pages but u might as well buy the best ready made hover that is well known to work unless you are getting the hoverpod for a very very cheap price.

    Sorry to sound so dismal

    Hi Nick,

So is there an "official" ready-to-ride craft that HCGB recommends ?

I'm familiar with Eagle, Hoverjet, and MAD seems quite interesting as well.

Any opinions or old threads here you could point me to ?

    Thanks,

    Ohad

Of course there is no recommended craft, but the craft should be chosen carefully for what it is going to be used for! like you would even think about racing a hoverpod on a inland hover race. K and M products provides ready built hovers that definatly work well and can be competative. I have built my craft but that is something completely different. Some people would never think about making theirs whereas others wouldnt think of anything else but to make it! To be honest its mostly down to personal choice but the Hoverpod has had very bad reviews from the people that own them, the hover boffs that undersand all the tek and hoverpod themselves are selling 2nd hand craft much much cheaper than the new ones just so they can make a sale! So i just thourght id point that out. But they are good as a craft which you can take out on a lake quickly and easily with the need of just filling the tank. Not much tech knowlage needed.

If you want a cruiser or coastal racing, I'd strongly reccommend a 4 stroke for noise economy and reliability reasons.

If you're looking at an inland racer, then by the company's own admission, a HovPod isn't going to be suitable (50bhp and 250kgs won't win you much!)

If you want a craft to look at an go 'Phwoaar!' then they do look the business.

Just depends what you want to do with it.

    Good Luck

Thats not entirely fair Nick, most of the rows centred around HoverPod, rather than HovPod.

HoverPod appeared to be a bit iffy, it was an alleged race series and some guy came on here bigging it all up, trying to get people to send him money to buy into craft that only consisted of computer generated images.

It wasn't anything to do with HovPod who were more than a little put out about it!
