    I've been speaking to one of the top UK freestyle jet-skiiers who has taken an interest in what we do

    when i told him how quick the F1's were he proposed some form of close challenge against an equal horsepower jetski

    anyone interested - his name's Dan - could it be Dan V Dan

    let me know

    Hi Dan

    thought you might be up for it

    I had some one challenge me to a race when they found me out the back of the office trying to set up the fan of the flying pig.

    The chap does power boat racing.(Never seen him race but he gets sponsership so cant be to bad.)

    I said ok.

    First one across the car park then take it from there.

    He just gave a nervouse laugh then walked away.

    Think I won that one.

    Just as well the flying pig isnt the fastest of craft.

    When we were in Galo Sweden, Sept 03. The Swedes arranged a snowmobile v Hovercraft (Metzners F1) race around the hovercraft craft course.

    I’d seen on TV Snowmobiles blatting across water, and assumed that would only work if held at full throttle in a straight line, but what really surprised me, after getting over how quick off the line they were, snow or no snow, was how good they were on the water. They were doing “wheelies“ and could drop down to about 20 mph before getting worried they would sink. - All the foam seats had been removed, any holes in the fibreglass had been taped up and a float and rope had been added, so I guess they weren’t too confident either.

    In the race the only advantage the hovercraft had was that it could turn better on the water, so the hovercraft did win, but it was very close!

    We have also raced around the whole Mere Brow course with a couple of canoes, but not in the same race as hovercraft.
