Default Fuel how long or how to get rid

Well ive just returned from the garage, and have done some work on the beast.

    Quick Q though

how long is fuel ok for? the stuff in my Jerry can & the onboard tank was last filled at jakes

Will it be ok to use, or am i best getting rid?

ive poured all the stuff from the jerry can into some 5L can,s

but i have 10 litres still on the craft.

Any ideas where i can dispose of old fuel (my lawnmower is 4 stroke, and the flymo only uses 1/4 gallon every time and thats about once a month

Smell it- if it smells like good petrol you could probably run it through the craft, if it smells strange (slightly earthy/organic) then ditch it.

In theory both fuel and two stroke oil can deteriorate if stored but I've never had any trouble with that, only the problem of bacteria formed which as I say you can smell. PS check your float bowls as well for nasty smell/deposit

I've got a jerry can of winter petrol kicking about in the garage somewhere (it *almost* floated away ). Should make starting nice and easy in this heat!
