If its cruising you're interested in, take a look at:

    http://www.hovercraft.org.uk/cruisin...craft/cruising craft.html

    and:

Then come back and ask more questions.

We have a cruising member in Leeds... maybe you need to get together to chew the fat? (Hint! hint!)

You'll have great fun in a field - so long as it's big enough (think several football pitches) and when you've got the hang of that we'll persuade you to join a cruise out on the mudflats somewhere for the next level of challenge! I reckon the Humber must be a fantastic hover venue - we just need a local person to find a site (hint hint!) and we can take it from there!

We don't normally recommend use on public beaches - too many small children and dogs, no matter how careful and considerate you are there will be zillions of complaints. In any case, sand wrecks skirts in no time! But mud flats... theres a differant matter, no old ladies to worry about there! You will need some training - keep your eyes on the BB, there should be another training weekend early next year. We had great fun at this years training event (Gazza amazed us all, looked like a pro after only 5 hours tuition!)

The Fish is an excellent choice of first craft - keep your eyes open, they do come up for sale but you need to be quick if you see one. Avoid "ebay specials" unless you can get good solid advice first - there's a lot of useless tat out there, you need to avoid it! The later "Marlin" models are the ones to look out for, with 4 stroke engines.

    Cheers for now
