Didn't the owner find this in a scrap yard of some sort? Seen to remember reading about it....

Oops, just read other thread..... "My first hovercraft"....

Why not contact Gary Firth, he has an up-and-running craft which also includes the trailer I think... Just add petrol and away you go.... sort off!

I can vouch for Garry's craft!

I have spent many hours trying to start the engine and countless hours recovering it from the sea bed after it sunk!

Oh, and helping to run from the Police because it is stolen....

Can't think of anything else.... yet....

Seriously, it is a very nice craft!

Mark, I will give you a straightforward answer.

In some regards it is more difficult to buy a hovercraft than it is to buy a car or a boat (Auto Trader, Exchange & Mart, Boating World etc are all places you can find cars and boats)
However, you have found your way to the two hovercraft clubs and that is the first place to look for a craft. We have the details of all the recognized manufacturers on the websites if you want to buy new. Secondhand craft are also advertised on the forums.
You can find secondhand craft on Ebay but be sure to check out the condition of the craft fully. It's difficult to inspect a craft before purchase on Ebay so you could end up with a dud. If you're happy to tinker or rebuild then you could pick up a bargain.
If you intend to cruise, don't buy an old racing craft as it will be totally unsuitable.
Often craft for sale are found through word of mouth or mentioned on one of the general forums so I'm sure you'll find something suitable. But remember, like buying a car, if you spend a little you'll get an old banger that might let you down. And if you're out at sea, you don't want that. So get the best you can afford.
