    Default Hacketts Lake Information - 23rd - 25th May, 2015

Hacketts Lake – Round 2 of the HCGB National League and Round 1 of the EHF Championships, 2015, updated 18/05/2015.

The HCGB and Midlands Branch look to welcome you once again to our wonderful circuit at Hacketts Lake, Nottingham. Please find below a few snippets of information for those looking to attend and compete at Nottingham over the weekend of the 23rd – 25th May, 2015.

The full site address is Hackett Lakes, Adbolton Lane, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham, NG12 2LD (please be aware and mindful of the tight right-hand turn into the landowners driveway!).

We are happy for persons to arrive on Thursday evening and camp overnight; however there will be NO facilities on site until Friday afternoon.

On Friday we will look to start constructing the race course and paddock from 10.00am onward, I’m certain the old adage is……. many hands make light work!!!!

On a more serious note, we have been asked by the landowner for a restriction on running of hovercraft and engines on Friday, there will be a strict ‘no engines policy/engines off’ in place after 4.30pm. This has been requested as one of the landowner’s neighbours is hosting a prestigious open air musical production. We ask all attendees be mindful of this polite request.

As in previous seasons the locality of the venue restricts the Branch’s ability to provide fresh potable water. We will have the water tanks within the campsite as previous, but ask you bring as much fresh drinking water with you as possible.

Travel - Travelling from the South via the M1, Junction 24 (A453) will no doubt appear on the SatNav. This is currently being transformed into a dual carriageway, and is especially busy at peak times, so for your sanity avoid at all costs. Coming from the South on the M1, we would advise leaving the M1 at Junction 21A, signposted A46 Leicester and Newark, this should avoid a fairly hefty delay.

Onsite – We have arranged live music for the Saturday night in the form of a local band ‘Devils Advocate’, whom will perform a collection of classic rock covers, please come and support them!!!

Refreshment wise there will be a bar onsite along with ‘hog roast’ and Phil ‘the burger man’ to keep everyone nourished!

Further information can be found at http://www.hovercraftraceevents.co.uk

And with that we wish you all a safe journey to our city and look forward to a fantastic weekend!!!

    Darren & Co,
We will be arriving first thing Saturday morning - is their a secret password to get through the team on the gate to prove we are members and not just paying public?
Dont want to pay public entry fee and then site fees too!
    Thanks mate,
    Prickle
