DESCRIPTION:LATEST UPDATE\nSTEM FAIR \nFRANCIS BAILY PRIMARY SCHOOL\nSkillman Drive\, Thatcham\,\nBerkshire. RG19 4GG \nSATURDAY MARCH 7 TH 2020. 12.00 TO 17.00 \nIn March 2019 we went to Hagbourne Primary School near Didcot and helped\nthem with their STEM Fair. This attracted a lot of interest and now we have\nbeen asked by Francis Baily Primary School whether we can assist in the same\nway.\nThe first indication of attendance was 600\, being the pupil number at the\nschool. This was then expanded with 200 pupils from the adjacent senior\nschool. Now 2 more schools have joined in with a further 800 pupils. In addition\neach pupil is expected to be accompanied by a responsible adult. With the\npotential number of pupils and parents coming this will be an excellent\nopportunity to promote hovercrafting and the HCGB. \n\nWe have been allocated the use of the school playing fields (about the size of\n4/5 football pitches) for giving rides. Already several members have indicated\nthat they are bringing craft to give rides\, but more would be helpful. (Hovercraft\nfuel costs will be reimbursed.) With the number of passengers\, could you help\nwith preparing them for their ride by handing out the ear defenders and goggles\nand seeing them to the craft? \n\nThe Scat will be available but I have had a knee operation which prevents me\nfrom driving.
